Sheep Shearing Day

Due to family situation, Sheep Shearing Day is cancelled for 2011

9 April 2011 is Sheep Shearing Day at Thistle Cove Farm. We begin around 9 a.m. and shearing is finished around noon but Lost Arts Guild members are here until 4 p.m. Watch basket maker, dulcimer maker, spinners, weaver, quilter, gourd decorator and others as they demonstrate and sell traditional, heritage Appalachian crafts.

Hot food and drink sold by Cove Community Center.

Wear layered clothing as temps are cooler in the morning and, generally, warm up around noon.
Parking on road and free admission but no pets, please, this is a working farm.

Barring unforeseen emergencies, snow storms, illness or the like.
